Our story

From the beginning, it’s always been more than clothing. It’s about pieces that would be part of memorable experiences—a sweatshirt you always reach for, a hat that reminds you of a favorite summer, or a tee you and your friends all own because it just feels like you. At its core, Beachkrew is about celebrating that sense of belonging and keeping those memories alive.

Our Founder

Karlee Hart, founder of Beachkrew, transformed her childhood entrepreneurial spirit into a prosperous business journey. She was studying Accounting and Entrepreneurship at University of Delaware when the pandemic drastically changed college life in 2020. Karlee embraced the new lifestyle and searched for opportunities to make an impact. Out of the basement at home in NJ, she began creating and selling hats as 'hatsbykarlee' at the end of her Junior Year in May 2021, age 21.

Our Founder

With help from family and friends, she built the business from her childhood home and college bedroom. The success of this initial venture led her to quickly expand her product offerings and rebrand as 'Beachkrew', inspired by her common love for the coastal lifestyle and a strong desire to make beach town apparel better.
